An idea I had for a poor mans rims.

I was driving to work tonight thinking about how freakin expensive it would be to get some rims on my car, not to mention 17s would make me slower that I already am. Im wanting to start fixing up my ride, but dont want to leave the stock hubcaps on or go with the normal steelies, so I was wondering how it would look if I took the hubs off & bought some crome trim rings to put around the steelies & crome lugs & maybee a crome grease cap, like on police cruisers. My old hatchback had these stock & I think it looked pretty cool(ill try to find a pic). Kinda like the old ralley mags on muscle cars. Im not going with a body kit ot anuthing but I want to get an altezza grill & windows tinted, then fix up the interior & suspension, maybee get some low profile Toyos or some good tires to wrap em in & drop it. I want rims but their a little more than im willing to spend on this car & my next car will most likely not be 4 lug so ill have to get rid of them eventually if I do get some. I also thought about getting some 6th gen si rims & getting them annodized to slightly gun barrel blue while leaving the trim ring polished, but that will be awhile before that happens.

So what do yall think?? Nice or Rice

One of my friends did the chrome trim ring around his Accord steelies and some cheaper tires between shows so his nice tires on his 19s wouldn't wear-down from his suspension being so off-camber.

Looks pretty good if the steelies are clean and not scraped-up or blemished, in any way.

Yea really, I would have to keep em clean, or it would look ghetto. Maybee paint them gloss black or dark gun metalish grey, I could expieriment.

Yea my hatch had 2 fat ones like this in the back & some thinner ones like this on the front, looked pretty cool.
