blowen strut

I just found out I blow my strut on my civic and Im not sure if I want to get it fix at honda under the warranty or if I want to put a after market on in by myself, I heard some of you guys say that you had to take it in afew time after honda replaced it because they still keep breaking and that worrys me alot. What do you think is the smartes way to fit the problem??

have them replace the stock shock, and buy aftermarket ones. that way, if you decide to trade in your car, you will have all 4 stock shocks

thats because our oem shocks suck. they should replace it though if you're still under warranty

I heard of the same thing. Stock shocks suck. Doesn't matter if you're lowererd or not. A few pot holes and they're done for. I had to replace mine already. I have only 25,000 miles on my car. I did hit a rather large curb once though, so that may have accelerated the wear.
