HELP with dropping my car...
Okay, I am not a crazy racer or anything, but I would like my car to perform well when it handles. I would really not like to risk blowing my stock struts since I am going for a 1.75" drop. (BTW, would I necessarily do that if i am only lowering it that much?) Given that information, should I go with springs or sleeved coil overs? What type? How much would they run if I were to purchase them? Also, if I were going to get struts, what type are good and how much would they cost? Finally (I feel like a jerk asking all of these questions) what would the install be on all of this? I want my suspension to be dependable to a certain extent....can anyone help me? Thanks...

1. your shocks will blow out eventually. with or without a drop.
2. for a 1.75 drop you can get either springs or tru coilovers (dont bother with sleeved coilovers.)
3. best springs for that kind of drop is the neuspeed sport, best coilovers for that drop is tein ss
4. neuspeed sports can cost from 100-250 (i think), teins will be from 900-1200 (because it is a full replacement meaning it has adjustable springs and shocks)
5. as for aftermarket shocks, the only ones out right now are koni yellows, the tokicos are supposedly coming out soon
6. konis go for around 500
7. as for the install, DIY. its a simple project
do a search, you will find a bunch of answers

Please search around in suspension performance for information. This has been discussed. There is lots of information, but read as much as you can before you decide to lower. Modifying your suspension can be an important and risky thing.
