springs look weird

Ok, so i put gold line springs on like a month ago and the rear coils are all compressed and touching each other. I put them on so the GOLDLINE name was right side up but i was reading somewhere that the name should be upsidedown. any truth to this?????

Hmm...How do yours look? I've seen a few pics of other peoples Goldlines and thats how it looked. If it isn't normal, then there have been no negative effects thus far.

I always thought those were dead coils.

BTW why didn't you tell me if you thought something was wrong??

ya its normal.. they are dead coils.. they are there to hold the springs in place. if they weren't there your springs would fall out of place when you jack your car up for an oil change or something.

I have H&R sports and they even came with a letter saying that dead coils are normal and it explained why they must have them.
