I have a 02 1.7el with 56000km on it and recently installed progress lowering springs. A few days ago my car started making a whining noise from under the hood which gets louder when i turn the wheel. When I brought it in to acura to have it inspected they told me that I would have to pay for the inspection and service myself because of the springs where considered a "heavy modification". I don't plan on paying for this so i'm going to have the springs changed back to stock and bring my car to another dealership. Has anyone had a similar noise or have any idea what it could be ? I want to know how serious it is. The only thing the dealership told me was that it was supension related. Any help would be greatly apprecieated. thanks

it sounds like the dealer was just looking for a way not to have to fix the problem. If its truly a whine then that sounds like power steering. If its more of a squeek then it could be strut/spring related. /
