Best cutting setup.
Hello, I have gc coilovers, and soon to have koni yellows, but I was wondering about the best tie-bar, x-brace, etc. for overall suspension, havent even looked into sway bars yet..
I like to take turns fast, and do alot of freeway running, what is a good, or the best setup overall for hwy and turning, and what is the true need for sway bars..
Any opinions, and facts welcome, plus a sway bar explaination would be great...
Thx,
CG

Cusco rear strut bar, spoon or mugen or neuspeed front strut bar, neuspeed x brace, progress sway bars, and energy suspension poly bushings.
Sway bars work like this . They are attached near your wheels under the car. Lets say you make a quick left turn so all your weight will go to the right side of the car. Since the left side of the car is pushing up, the thicker the bar under the car the more it will hold the left side DOWN, thus making it more stable. I am not sure if I am explaining this correctly or so that you understand.

"Cusco rear strut bar"
Wow... A lot of people are preaching this, and as far as I know, I'm still the only one that has it...
But yes, it ownz... only one I know of that you can bolt into the frame rail in the trunk... 1.75mm thick, 1/4" end plates and strong as hell.

HAHA, you are the only one that has it. But compare the options. you have the cheap ebay ones, OBX, and DC sports (i think). I have the OBX and it is actually pretty good. From the looks of the cusco bar, I would get it if it wasn't mad $$.

I like my setup so far. I think it's the way to go. Check out my profile for details. Besides what I have so far I'm going to get the Hotchkis rear camber kit for the RSX. It'll work for our cars too. Not out yet, but will be soon. Also, some forged aluminum front lower control arms from the Integra Type R (RSX). Nice! They have them for $550 shipped from jdmhondaparts.com
Also, some custom rear lower control arms from aluminum (I'm making some
). Also, a suspension with front camber plates like the Tein Flex. Now that would rock.
Oh yeah, 225/40/17 tires, or 225/45/17 tires. Plus a good drop. The 45 profile will raise you a little bit, but it'll sit nicely in your wheel wells. Oh yeah, rolling your rear fenders will be necessary as well with that width. To me, that's perfect. That's what I'm going for.
