i dropped my car 1.5 front and 1.75 back neuspeed and my friend with same car did also too with h&r. his car seems litte higher then mine why is that? is it cuz hes car was in an accident before?
i scratch my stock exhaust on bumps, dips, and mainly at my apt cuz there are speed bumps. i know if i get tanabe exhaust imma scratch even more cuz the pipes are bigger. is there anything i can do? if i get 18s or 17s on my car will it make my car alittle higher so i wouldnt scratch especally when i get tanabe?
imma check this reply at night cuz i have to go to work soon. lot of respones would be nice!!

If you are already scratching with your stock exhaust then the Tanabe will most definatly scratch. What kind of mountain-like speedbumps does your apartment have anyways.......geeez.
Do you have a sound system in your trunk? That will weigh down your car more.
Getting 17's or 18's won't make a difference because the overall diameter of the wheel and tire is still the same so that your speedometer will still be right. Unless you get some big momma tires on you will still be in the same problem.
Have you tried taking the speedbumps at an angle? Just basically walk the car across the bump slowly.

Who got their ride dropped first? Cuz it could be the "wear-in period". Also...the factory might say it is X number of drop but that is not all necessarily true...I dunno, don't think an accident would be a big issue in this unless he was hit near the suspension of something...
Basically if you drop your car...you WILL scratch/scrap your exhaust. You could try going over the speed bumps one wheel at a time like those ricers...(including me!
)
Wheels won't make a difference...your wheel won't get larger...just your RIMS.

reason why the H&Rs are higher is probably cuz the H&Rs dont lower as much as the neuspeed.
I could have sworn their spec was 1.5 or around there. front and back. or 1.4 inches

my car does too. it hits one of the bolts more then anything and I don't care about that because it is only a couple bucks to replace as long as it doesn't bend my pipes. once in a while it hits the muffler itself, You can just put JB WELD on a little piece of sheet metal on the bottom of the muffler, you won't ever see it and it can rub that and replace the sheet metel and not the whole muffler.
I just don't care. No one's gonna look under your car for a scraped exhaust. If you dent it however, that's a different story.
My muffler scrapes more than the muffler tip when my exhaust is stock.
You can either raise your car or learn how to take driveways/speed bumps at an angle and slower.

i dont get how you can scrape a stock exhaust with a 1.75" drop. IMHO i dont think thats low enough. if you had it at 2.5" then thats a different story. but since your car is lowered now, you would have to change how you go over bumps and that stuff. always take them at angles, but if u cant, then go over them slowly. if you dont, then you'll eat every single bump and dip you go over.
ps. i have a 2.25" drop with the hks hi-power exhaust. i should know a thing or two about scraping
