K ppl im reallly really confused rite now, basically i want to get my
car lowered in the next 2 weeks. Ive done alot of searching on these forums
but everybody seems to have mixed opinions about what the "best" or "ideal" set
up is. I need help as in what is the best way to go about lowering my car is, in
terms of Spring brand, drop qaulity etc. I have a 2001 lx coupe. I want to keep the
stock struts for the time being . Ive seen good deals on tornactives website.
i dont want to go with coilover sleeves for some odd reason. so the guidlines are set below
for my preferences plz help me decide guys.
1. i want to keep my stock struts
2. I dont want a harsh ride ..i want to maintain some ride qaulity
3. i dont want the car dumped to the *****
4. I dont want o spend that much (like alll of us out there)
5. I want a quality product
so far my options are .... as follows
1. Tein "s Tech" springs @ tornactive for 139.99 w/free shipping and 5% off discount (1.3f & 1.4R drop)
2. Tanabe superdown precedo @ ard performance for 149.95 not sure about the drop
3. Nuespeed sport springs 1.75 and 1.5 inch lowering for 149.95
4. Nuespeed Race springs lowering kit 2.25 and 2.0 inch drop for 149.95 (sort of iffy on the drop)
5. Goldline Springs @ tornactive 1.75 inch drop
so those so far are my options .... h&rs are too expensive and i want to keep the price under
150 Usd.. if you have any opinions or know of any online stores that sell these for cheaper pleease help me out...i totally need some help guys..any help will be greatly appreciated thanks!

I would go with the goldlines. My gf has them on her car, very nice drop and the ride quality is comparable to stock. They don't lower your car to much so your stock shocks should last a while unless you drive on crappy roads all the time. I think alot of people will agree with me on this choice.
I don't wanna say Neuspeeds cuz' it'd be easier to agree and give you a clear choice. But I can't say to go with anything else cuz' I have Neuspeeds. Hmmm, so much for not saying Neuspeeds.
I'm like you guy, I don't want to spend lotz, but it looks like $ may be of use in this decision. Get whatever springs you find the best deal and quality on. But at some point, you will EVENTUALLY need new shocks and a Rear Camber Kit before you have it aligned. And get it done all at once if you wanna save that $ on labor charges.
