Is TEIN the best?
I'm getting rims and tires in a few weeks and then I'm gonna get coil-overs. At first I planned on getting Ground Control w/koni's but would i be better off w/ a full body coil-over? I don't want to spend much more than a grand, and about how much would I pay for installation?

gc $300+
koni $550+
total: $850
tein ss: $1050
do i think its worth the extra $200 yes.. #1 installation on tein ss is cheaper then koni install. probably like $100 less.. n not only do you get damper adjustment but you have shocks that are actually designed to work with the spring..
installation is about $80-120 for teins and $200 for koni cause you have to cut up the strut..

hmm...
ok, thats still way better than the KONI option, IMO.
Interesting...yet annoying. a straight swap would have been nicer, but if its just the top guts, no worries.
VNlilMAN - what DONT you know about suspension?
hehehe

i heard people getting them at local shops for 1050. online shops sometimes have sales on them for 1050. i know torn had a groupbuy on them for 1000. search and i'm sure you can find it for that price...
if www.StreetSportsOnline.com had their store open i'm sure you could have gotten it cheap there.. the store has yet to open tho...
if you want a straight swap, go with tein flex but its going to cost you... $1600, straight swap.
there's alot of things i dont know still...
but ya sorry to everyone i havnt been on the suspension forum much..
looks like you guys are doing ok without me tho, got alot of knowledgable people here..

no its not... as far as i know you cannot adjust height with ANY true coilovers. only AIR or Hydro. the damper adjustment with the computer your talking about is the edfc.
tein ss: height adjustable, damper adjustable, no uppermount
tein flex: height adjustable, damper adjustable, and SPRING RATE adjustable. YES uppermount, which allows for a straight swap. also includes adjustable front camber plate.

i got my tein ss for 1060 including tax from a local shop. but they were having a huge groupbuy on it. i really dont know how much it is online since i dont look anymore, but just wait until someone has a group buy on them.
and installation pretty simple. just reminder, loosen the nut that holds the whole strut assebly together while its still on the car.

Yeah I got some crappy firestones to. I am going to be getting some OZ Crono Evolutions and some Yokohama Spec 2's soon and then getting either the Tein Basic or Tein SS not really sure on the Teins yet because I am debating one which ones to get. The I am going to get a camber kit for the front and back to be on the safe side. I need to find a good site to get some SPC's front and back.

the Tein SS's from what everybody says are supposed to be really good, i'd like to get them. But i would have to save up for like half a year to get true coilovers vs. my springs i have right now
Here: if you need SPC camber kit, 154shipped~ cheaper than tornactive like 159 shipped.
