i have first gen goldline springs that drop my car about 1.75"....
i really wanna drop it maybe by another half inch to and inch. one of my good buddies told me that i should just cut about half a coil on my springs and that if i do, it wouldn't affect ride quality all that much...
should i do it cause i have 17's on and it still have quite a bit of wheel gap?

Cutting the spring comprimises their spring rate. Giving you Krap for ride quality. Dont do it.

there is no effect on spring rate if you cut a DEAD COIL. this is coils that touch together. and i dont know about cutting just half, i would say cut the whole coil.
this is assuming goldlines have dead coils of course

Rep Power: 287 If you cut the coils I heard your not suppose to expose it to any heat during the cutting process, or as little heat as possible. Use a die cutter or some other low heat method.
