Spring isolator question (researched)

I was just wondering if this is the spring isolator?

I got my skunk2 coils installed yesterday, and when I'm turning tight, its making a whole lot of noises (spring noises). I figure he just forgot to put the spring isolator in. Do you need the isolator if you have coil-overs?

Thanks

sounds like you have the same problem i had with my coilovers. you don't have the stock bearing rings.

thanks for the info. From the looks of it though, the part I have in the picture should be installed, right? Because obviously right now, it is not...

no, if you have coilovers, that's definitely not a part you need. it's too big for the springs on the coilovers anyway.
