HELP: my front lower control arm has broken
i took my car to honda for alignment today...
they said my front right lower control arm has broken..
and now my front right wheel has been pushed back about 0.5 cm...
they said i probably hit some bump...
they suggest me to replace it and then do the alignment...
and it doesnt cover by the warranty...
it total comes to about 700 us
wtf, honda's suspensions are so weak...
any suggestion what i should do?
should get something from aftermarket to upgrade my car...
or just pay that 700 bucks to honda?
thx for any helpin' guys

Check this site for the part. Maybe it will be cheaper and you can do the labor to put it on and then do the alignment http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/
Also; Check here too.

They have aftermarket rear control arms. I think you can find them in an ebay store as well in a kit form.

ouch, yeah same here too, but except i was hit in the front right corner. they (the shop) said that my front lower controll arm was broken, but the damn shop didnt have it repaired for like 5 months!!! and now my the inside half of my front tire is like bald, even tho its less than a year old!
The more posts I see on here the more the more I think honda is skimping on the design of their cars. My passengers headlight blows out alot, and the konis even break, and just looking at the car while lowering it, theres 3 total bolts holding the rear shocks in place, and 5 up front, and the steering arms are puny.
The lower control arms up front look tiny, but in the back they look nice and sturdy, especially the tubular arm. WTF is up with honda. What would be really nice would be some forged adjustable lower control arms, that way it would be stronger and you would have a way to fix camber built in.

If you can find them, then get the front lower control arms from the Type R Integra (DC5 chassis, AKA RSX). They're forged aluminum with stiffer bushings.

When mine broke in the crash I was in it cost me 450 us to replace it was not big crash just the wheel was in more and slightly bent diagonal it should cost you jno more than 550 us, try to go to some junkyard and get the parts cheaper there prolly around 350 if you get lucky.
Pay for the bushings, I doubt it is broken. If it is broken you will not be able to drive it. I bet you the bushing are shot just like mine. My caster is off in the front because of potholes. When you get things fixed at the dealer, you pay for the lower control are, more bolts, bushings, and everything that has to tdo with the lower control and front assembly. They are not allowed to do half jobs at dealerships. I just need to have my clucth disc replaced and the dealership is asking for $400 installed. That is a new assembly, but I can buy the aftermarket clutch for $100 bucks. You have to love dealerships.
