Neuspeed Lower X Brace Impressions
Recently I posted my postive impressions of the Neuspeed Upper Strut Bar after taking it thru a really steep and twisty canyon called Stunt Road.
Well....yesterday my Neuspeed Lower X Brace arrived and after getting fine service and support from tornactive, I installed it.
I did it while it sat in my driveway, not even jacked up.
The front bolts were much more difficult to undo and get back in, but manageable.
If you do it this way, grab a 2nd person if possible. Anywayz....
Today after work, I took a run up to Angeles Crest Highway which has big fast turns 50-80+ mph.
I didn't notice a dramatic difference like the upper strut bar, but the car was handling amazingly well,
and it was very solid, stable, and controllable. The car wasn't flopping around like it used to.
Next Up....Spoon Sports Rear Upper Strut Bar.

Grey- Thanks for the link, nice price!
I was going to edit the above message before anyone got to it, but oh well...
I just drove thru a bumpy and really twisty road to test the x brace.
The wheels stay planted much better with the X brace, like they really want to stay on the ground.
Before they would float over them lightly with less control.
I'm guessing this is the advantage of the xbrace, I dunno, but it is sweet!

Yeah, those are nice too. Very lightweight and probably does the job. I didn't know that they were selling. Oh well, I wanted to have some Spoon stuff on my car. Maybe I'll get the Mugen FSTB in the future; although that one is serious money. Maybe not. Hehe...

After Day 2 I'm convinced I am driving an RSX or a BMW.
These 2 products are worth their weight in gold.
The car has better control in the corners, especially on bumpy roads.
Overall, the car feels much more solid and sporty, and the steering overall is much better.
All the flex I used to feel in the front end is gone.
Accelerate fast on on a bumpy road: the car goes straight ahead, no more wandering.
For $300.00?
I am so frick'n overjoyed, this is too good to be true.
Thanks Grey for the link, I ordered and spoon will be here soon.

wait, you paid 300 for the x brace??
and on the install, you didn't support the subframe or anything? cuz I read the instruction and they said something about putting a jack at some area.. I couldn't really see it though, the picture is kinda crappy.
I think I'll be getting one too... I'm bar happy. lol. if I get the x brace.. that means I have 3 bars in the front end of the car and 3 on the back end of the car...
in fact I can have 4 in the back of the car if I get the mugen style rear strut bar..
but I think I'll lower the car soon instead of going all bar happy... I just dont want to blow my strut/shocks...

$300 for both the front upper strut ($120) and lower x brace ($180).
The installation pictures shows a jack supporting the subframe when installing the X brace, but it isn't needed. It would be easier if the car was lifted, but not necessary.
