sup sup,
actually i read the web site and it says that 2 inches in the recommended drop height. but i was wondering if u can lower it more... BUT!!!!.... without affecting the life of the gas shocks like is it safe? hehe i know its a dumb question to ask but i already searched and there is not much on TEin's.
well any input would be great and what is ur currrent stats on ur car...
thanks

actually, it would be safer for the shocks to drop it lower. On the SS, the lower you drop the setting, the less the spring is preloaded. There's about 1 to 2 inches more spring compression travel when you lower it.
I have my TEINS set at 2 in the front and 1.75 in the rear. I would go lower but I am getting my full Tsunami kit painted next week so slamming it at 2.25 or 2.5 isn't much of an option. I am however putting on my 205/55/16 Rota Slipstreams on later next week (when I get my camber kit) and that will raise the vehicle by approximately .5 inches because my current stock tires are bald and deflated and the Kumho's are nice and fresh. I will post pics later this month as well as my trip to Japan in 2 weeks.
BTW, the Teins ride is not harsh. I was expecting kidney shattering stiffness, but instead it's really civil like a stock car. But it does however magnify those bumps and kinks in the road. That's why I went for the lightweight slipstreams with 55 series tires. I am willing to compromise some performance for better driveability.

it doesn't make sense at first and that's why I spent over a couple hours trying to figure it out with my friend.
On a coilover system, the thread goes up and down. And intuition says that the further UP you go on the thread, the lower the car because you get less spring travel. But strangely enough, the LOWER you go on the thread, the lower the car. And the lower the perch is, the less the spring is preloaded. So I get nasty spring shifting sounds at <5mph speeds.
I am realizing now that 205/55/16 is a bit too tall for my car.
it raised the overall height about 1/2 inch filling in the 1.5 finger gap from the drop. Which is fine because it can help save a tiny bit on gas and it prevents me from scraping my resonator pipe on steep curbs.

my H&R's springs.. are lower than this....
the front its already the lowest it can go.. like the ring is all the way at the bottom of it.. and the web site says it allows u to drop it 2.7 inches but it looks more like 1.1 inches drop.
wtf? false advertisement???
can some one help me out do i spin upwards or do i spin downwards???

For everyone with the coilovers. Where did you get them from. Where do you recommend to get them from. What did you pay and what is the best price everyone has seen for them.

I got mine from JayDM (www.jaydm.com). I would definately recommend going through them for Teins. Talk to John he will give you a really good price. I just put mine on yesterday and I am super stoked on them.
