I need help chooseing between sway bars

The last message I write didn't help me at all and that ok, because I saw that afew people learned something which is good,
But this time I really need you peoples to help me.
People with the RSX type R rear sway bar on there car please tell me how it feels on corners and if it help out on the understeeling problem our cars have? people with any 22mm rear sway bar tell me please how it feel on corners and if it help out on the understeeling problem? what sway bar you have?
Right now I am on backorder for a hotck adjustable sway bar kit that has two 25mm sway bar but now I see no point in spending all that money for something I really don't need.

with a 22mm sway bar, some people have had the problems of the endlinks breaking off. might want to stick with the 19mm

If you're upgrading just the rear sway bar, then you should go with the RSX's. It's 19mm and it's a good combination with the stock 25.4mm front sway bar (well, that also depends on the year of Civic you have). Anyway... If you're set on getting a 22mm rear sway bar then the one for the Type R is allright, but I'de reccomend some sort of rear tie bar with that. That would probably be the cheapest 22mm combination. Now, as for the endlinks one dude in an RSX broke his while autocrossing (RSX's suspension setup is similiar to ours, so we should fear this sort of thing if we're thinking of autocrossing. Anyway, Hotchkis sells upgraded end links for something like $160.

Now, here's what I did. I have a 2001 LX with no rear sway bar. I had to buy the Progress mounting kit and the Progress rear sway bar (anti-roll bar, stabilizer bar, whatever ). That also comes with a tie bar. I wrote up a DIY on it, the link is in my sig. It's a very good combination. The mounting kit is less expensive than the Hotchkis end links and the mounting kit has end links that are very beefy. Much more so than the stock ones. I have it all I guess... Rear sway bar, rear tie bar, and upgraded end links. Not cheap, but worth it IMO.

i JUST PUT THE 22mm type r rear ON MY CAR. I think it's not balance with the stock front sway.I think it's too big. But I never try 19mm rear. So i cant recommend. I satisfy with 22mm dc5.

Grey,
I really like those beefy adjustable end links but I already have a DC rear lower tie bar, Is there anywhere I can just buy those beefy end links? Where did you buy your whole kit from?

Yes, they're sold seperately. You'de have to shave off the stock end link mounts though (if your civic came with a rear sway bar). Then again, you can just go with Hotchkis end links. You'll pay more though. Not sure if you get both front AND back? Anyway, check it: Progress Group Sway Bars - Best Price

For just the end links there's only Hotchkis that I know of. Although like I said, the Progress mounting kit for the 2001 LX's and all DX's includes beefed up end links. You have a choice. Which link did you go to? What do you mean no Ex kit?

hey grey
I have a EX civic so that kit won't work for my car, really all I want from that kit is the end links. I ordered the hotchiks sway bar kit about a month ago and it still on backorder that's why I was looking for something else. Do you think it be easy to make a end link? I really want a adjustable sway bar

Oh, that. Actually the Progress mounting kit will work for you if you cut off the stock end link mounting tabs. Just cut them off, grind them down, and paint the metal.

You could use the stock mounting location. just take off the stock end links and put the Progress ones on. Although you'de lose the adjustability. Yes, you didn't make that up. They are slightly adjustable. Actually, it makes it so that you can dial in the stiffness of the rear sway bar. Kinda neat IMO.

will I really want them to be ajustable so I guess I have to cute of the mount tape. I don't understand how cutting them off make it more ajustable then useing the ones that come with the car?
I don't know I kind of like my DC one more then the progress one, I might just sell the progress one.
