ya they'll fit wit gc.. gc's make an adapter for konis so that they work..
your front shocks your going to need in order for you to use your konis..
but the rear shocks and the springs, i would suggest you just hang on to them so that you could convert your car back to stock when you sell it... its hard to sell a fixed up car, if you do you end up losing alot of money. you lose less when you part out the car and sell the car stock..

alright, yo. I just got my car back from the shop and drove it around in the mountains for about an hour, so if you want to hear me compare GCs on stock shocks vs GC on koni's keep reading.

MUCH less road noise now. I can take a pothole without thinking I killed my car too. Overall I feel like it grips on the corners much better. The ride is still stiff, but it's much more controlled now. There isn't as much "bounce" on the rough roads.

I was driving a windy road at 30-60 mph and it never felt like the car was getting away from me. With the stock shocks it was much less confident, especially when it bottomed out. Needless to say, it's a HUGE difference. It feels like a whole new car on windy roads.

BTW, I had the GCs on the stock shocks for 5000 miles or so and they didn't blow. The guy at the shop said they weren't leaking when he took them out, so I guess that says something. My only regret is that it was $600 labor because of the extra 3 hours it took them to modify the strut housing.

$600 for labor??? i'm sure you could have found places that would do it much cheaper..
bartkat could have done it cheaper.. he'll send you a ready to go strut for like $50 + shipping, all you have to do is put on a bolt and bolt it back up on the car..

$50 bucks! Holee Crap, why didn't I know that before

The worst part is that he initially quoted me $350. He changed the price after he had it all day long and it was already half way done. I told him to let me bend over first the next time he felt like f*****g me.

I just can't get any luck in this town. Next part that goes on my car gets installed by me.

$350? they could suck my ****
shops here charge 80-120. i got mine done for $70. i heard of shops even charging $50. also they were done in 1 hour and a half(just for springs). shouldnt take them an extra 3 hours for konis.. only 1 hour the most..
where do you live anyways? i have badd luck with shops here too.. first shop i took it to couldnt even install the springs.. bunch of little kids running the shop..

nope you could use your blown stock shocks to put koni's on.. all you really need the stock shock for is the housing(or the case). when you blow the shock, the case/housing is still intact its just the sealed is broken and oil has leaked... but ya when installing koni's you cut the strut and drain out the stock oil anyways..

so ya you could just get the GCs installed now and wait till your stocks blow then get koni's BUT... by doing it all at once now you save on installation and you still have that time period with a good ride..
