so i'm guessing you havnt read the suspension faq yet..
difference being..
sleeved coilovers: just coils, you need to use stock or aftermarket shocks with these $100-$300..ground control, skunk2
true coilovers: comes with its own shock. $800-$1600. tein ss, tein flex, b&g

I have the full coilover Tein SS suspension, and the car definately handles better in my opinion with them. However, I believe that in most cases with a sustantial drop using sleeved coilovers (or lowering springs for that matter) and stock struts, the ride is more bouncy, but I wouldnt really know

well usually anytime you lower the car, the handlings going to be better(n no lower isnt always better when it comes to handling). its hard to say how much better cause what are we going to compare to but ya it will be better... but then also remember, sleeved coilovers tend to be bouncy.... if theres bumps on the road and such and your tires break traction a lil, that would mean a loss in handling..
you'll most likely get better handling with lower springs... but ya also remember shocks are just as important as springs/coilovers when it comes to handling

either one will increase your cornering stability a whole friggen lot. With sleeved coilovers with just stock struts your ride quality will suffer in the affect of being bouncy especially in the back. Because the stock struts can't handle the added spring rate. Once you use aftermarket (Koni) shocks with them, they act the way they are supposed to and the ride gets considerably mare stable. I never rode on true coilovers so i can't really comment on them, but there are alot of threads out there about them if you search.

ok thanks guys inthat case i might just buy some springs and then wait and buy some konis or something. what is a decent drop on our cars to make then look good and handle well with out scraping on a big speed bump? have big ones at my apt complex.

thanks,

Weaponx12o is on a distinguished road
i have b+g full coilovers and they ride pretty close to stock. a little bouncy but its still good. the handling is great just as long as you dont have the stock rims and tires on like me. the firestones just flat out suck!! i dropped my car 2.25" which took out all of the gap, but it might be too low for you. it's about 3" off the gound i havent had a problem scraping or anything like that, just be careful on how you drive if you drop it lower than 2".
