what size tires do you have? do you have a kit? plan on getting one?
also depends on what your looking for... just looking to kill the gap? want a slammed look? just want performance?
also do you really care about ride quality? are you willing to spend the extra cash on aftermarket shocks? what about camber kits?

I have 15 inch stock ones, I wan't to keep the 15's cause I like the rims, I am going to get all season Yokohoma's probably in 2 months. When I do lower it I want a camber kit and I don't wanna lower it too much so I'm scrapping, but I want a low enough drop so that the gap isn't there as much and it looks a little better. I don't want my tires to wear unevenly or bow out, I heard a camber kit will solve that issue, is that true?

Here is my car w/ Eibach Sportlines. Ride is OK. I need a camber kit, but havent picked one up yet. And yes, a camber kit will make it to where you can align your wheels properly. I do scrape my exhaust on speed bumps. You can try the Eibach Pro Kit which is not as much of the drop the sportlines give. But then again, I have heard conflicting stories on that. Eibach is one of the better springs to go with. I have had them on 2 cars now & will probably put them on any other cars I get if I want just springs.

There are a few companys out there for springs. Just remember, you get what you pay for. if you get springs for $99 a set. It will probably ride like **** eventually or sag. And please have them professionally installed by a mechanic that has done it before, if you are not capable of doing it yourself. I made the mistake of letting a honda dealership use my car to learn on. And the springs were popping everytime I turned the wheel. Eventually, now a year later, it hardly makes that noise anymore, but it sure makes the car feel like a POS.

Since you plan on keeping the 15's. Sportlines would be ok if you dont mind the occasional bouncyness (sp?) here & there. If you ever go to a lower profile tire, you definitely will notice the harsher ride.

You shouldnt scrape on anything. Except maybe the front rubber spoiler thing or whatever it is called. You will rip it off if you pull over a high parking curb. I no longer have mine attached because I have ripped it off so many times.

If you have an after market exhaust, then you might scrape. Mine does.

BTW: I notice you are from Chicago. I am from out that way originally. Ever heard of a small town in northwest ondiana called Portage? I might be driving back that way this year.

-well you could always go the usual route... 1.75" drop... you'll have like a 1 1/2 finger gap all around... i got it and HATED it. no one could tell my car was even lowered... i dont scrape at all and i drive like i'm on 4x4s...
i personally would go with a 2.25" if i could do it again.. this will kill the gap and actually make the car look lowered...
-but ya as you can see already, your going to get conflicting answers.. for some a 1.3" drop is too low and for others a 2.5" drop isnt even low enough...
-"you get what you pay for" eh, what all people with money say... i guarentee you that you wont notice the ride difference between neuspeed, goldline, eibach and h&r... there are slight differences between all springs but nothing too noticeable...
-ya a camber kit is to prevent your tires from wearing out unevenly.. but then you also need an alignment to get the use out of the camber kit. for a 1.3" drop, you dont need it cause the alignment is within spec. for a 1.75" its borderline-ish so its hard to say. i dont have one, doesnt hurt to get one i guess... but then who cares you have stock tires.. you could even replace them for the price you pay for the camber kit. for a 2.25" drop i would highly recommend one. oh and if you do get a camber kit, you wont need the front cause of how the mcpherson strut is.
-but ya your answers are going to vary.. its a lowered car, your obviously not going to drive over speed bumps like you normally do, watch the parking block, watch when you open the door on a curb... just be a lil more cautious and you'll be fine with a 2.25" drop. like i said i drive like i'm on 4x4s with my neuspeed sports and i hardly scrape at all, probably 3 times the whole 9 months i've had it..

-the popping noise is common cause of how our front suspension is. installing lowering springs is the same as installing stock springs so i dont know why they didnt know what to do... they either didnt align the top perch right or didnt tighten down the top bolt enough...

Keep in mind though that VNlilMAN is on 18"s, so he might be a little higher in ground clearance if you planned on using a smaller wheel..

ImmortalX A.K.A. Club 2005:

I have the magnaflow Cat Back. It sits way low. Needs to be re installed IMO. The tip scrapes in some driveways. And the popping noise. I know.
