I believe TEIN makes the flex version for the civic SI or Type-R ... but in any case, i beleive a member has purchased the Tein flex and installed it for our cars as the suspension is so similar.

to answer your question, no i do not believe they make flex specifically for our cars.

It's not an exact fit. I had trouble with the tie-rods being too long and my steering column shifting. Other than that, it's great! I just washed the underneath of my car and now the sway bars bushings are whiny. Gotta lube them or get better bushing. I my left side bushings for the lower control arm is wearing out. My caster changed since the last time I had it aligned. Why does all california off ramps(the ones I use) have to be right turns?

They say they have the flex for the 2001 civic part #DSA12-61SS1 However I do not see it on there product list???? I don't know about them, every time i ask them something they give me a different anwser. And they respond to about 50% of the emails I send them. Anyway if anyone gets that new flex for our car it would be awesome to see how much more drop it adds and how the ride is. The only problem is it sells for 1800 ouchy. I asked where i could purchase this and they never got back to me, I am not sure if we the consumers can purchase directly from tein? Does anyone know? If not where we can buy this? Here is a copy of the email response I got, and what i asked them, their address, phone number, etc...

I might just get it anyways, that is off course after my new body kit.

Thank you for your interest in TEIN High Performance Suspension Products.
The FLEX Damper is already available for the 01+ Honda Civics. It retails
for $1860 (U.S.). Part #DSA12-61SS1

I think they are mentioning the Type-FLEX for EP3, actually, this model can fit both 01+ Civic and even DC5, I have installed it with the EDFC, it's fantastic and give me a lot of fun
