Newbie question?
How do people run 70 mph at a rated 25 mph turn?! Are they drifting or grip driving? It sounds impossible to me if it was grip driving.

Try, They really arn't doing 70. I hate to brake this to all the Wide eyed newbies, but Drifting(High drift angles), While extreamly fun, is not the fastes way around a race track. In a rally race, shure. On the street or a road track no way, not by a long shot. This isnt to say that Race cars dont "drift", just not in the extream way that the "drifters" do.
Yeah, I think it's more like throttle steering. A jab here and there to quickly point the car where you want to go.
Also some of those ramps are maked for low speeds because of low visibility ahead, and not because you can't go around them faster.
I'd like to see some of these guys measure their g forces and report those back. A better estimate of cornering ability.

Never done 70mph on a 25mph on-ramp or off-ramp, but I have done 60mph. I grip drive. When sliding you slow down around the turn. Drifting (okay, tail sliding for those who argue that FWD cars don't drift) will only help you transition from one corner to another. Otherwise it's slower than grip driving.
