driving without a front sway bar
driving without a front sway bar
i want to put in my header + hiflow cat in tomorrow, and i will need to replace the front sway bar.
i ordered the replacement from hondawerx but for some reason it wont get here until wednesday or thursday. now i was wondering if i could just drive around without my front sway bar for a couple days.
obviously i wont be doing any sharp turns or lane changes, but would this work for basic daily driving for 3-4 days??

well i dont know if im actually going to do it then... because hondawerx is taking too long. ill just wait until the bar comes in since they arent too reliable on giving me a shipment date. its been over a month for just one stoopid bar

you'll have no problems. Sway bars are not esential suspension parts. they help out the springs thats it. the car will just lean over a bit more when you turn. My first car didnt have anny anti-sway bars at all.
It won't fall apart, but it won't feel very safe at high speeds. The front end will feel like it'll break "loose". I personally wouldn't try it for too long

just dont take any turns or lane change fast... I think u'll be experiencing some mad oversteer...
just drive slow. and take it slower when u get off the ramp.. especially the ones that curve.
car wont fall apart. sway bars aren't essential part of suspension to make it work... it just makes the car handle better (or worse)
during straight line driving u shouldn't feel any difference.
but oh highway u may experience "highway wander"
anyhow I would just basically drive slower... and be alert on the fact that my car is handling differently.
