lowering springs

hey if i lower my 2002 civic ex coupe with the goldline springs will it wear out my shocks ?? i heard it puts lots of strain on the suspension system? i really want to lower it but i dont wnat to break or scratch up my body kit cus i just got it painted. for free by the way!

yes is will put stress on your struts causing them to wear out faster than normal lot of pepole change to konis or the like check out the suspension forum for more info

The general rule of thumb is to always get new shocks when you buy your new springs. Eventually the stock shocks will blow.

I think it all depends on how you drive over rough road conditions. If you drive very carefull over bumps or dips they should last for a while.

go with h&r sport....u won't have to change the shock rite away...
get them blown first..but they aren't that low..but the ride quality is
good..i had them b4....and i like them reason why i change to neuspeed..

lol u really dont need to change ur shocks IMO... ive had my CARS lowered before... and my EM Civic is no different... its a matter of ride . the struts and shocks wont blow out as fast as u think... you basically cut the life of them in half.. so say instead of the struts and shocks lasting 6 years they're going to last like 3 ya know? what it comes down to really is MONEY...
