Progress rear sway bar problem

Ok I got my sway bar the other day. today i decide to install it. Unfortunatley the F**king thing does not fit with my DC TCS muffler. Now I'm not bagging on the sway bar or if your **** the anti sway bar It is an excellent part and I wanted to put it on very bad. But now I've got to sell it because it is not compatible with my TCS system . No.... its not upside down. I checked multiple times.
So now I go the way of the RSX deal. But my question is will it have fit problems.? Does anyone have this set up with TCS?
So be warned it does not fit with DC sports TCS muffler system.

EASY SOLUTION:

Sell the stupid DC Sports TCS and buy the HKS Hiper axle-back exhaust. This exhaust and the Progress sway-bar fit very well together (leaves at least 1" of clearance in all potential contact areas).

The TCS is a waste of money anyway.

does it hit the actual muffler or just the exhaust pipe? mine has a problem hitting the pipe, just barely made a knocking sound but it was annoying and this was because I lowered my exhaust 1" in the back due to my body kit (didn't want to melt it!) Anyways what I did was tied some coat hanger around the exhaust and pulled it to the side a little bit and tied it to the toe hook in the back. IT doesnt vibrate any more. Anyays you might want to try that unless there is no way it will work...

it hits the pipe going into the muffler its just not going to work. moving it to the side wont creat enough clearence and would put the muffler tip into my kit. and once the car gets put on the floor it will move even closer to the pipe. Thanks for the idea.
and 3rdcivic. I like my exhaust.... so I plan on keeping it.
the sway bar will be for sale soon in the marketplace.

hey my 22mm progress sway bar does that on a stock exhaust. Since i got a stock exhaust my friend recommended just like vnlilman said "bang the pipe" for clearance or just install it and let the bar do it for you.
btw does anyone else have this prob?

just get the rsx sway bar. no problems, no tie bar needed, fits perfect, and works great.

EDIT: and its pretty damn cheap compared to Progress. Got mine for less than $80 with bushings at the dealer.

ya the thought of banging the **** out of my pipe came across my mind but I would almost have to bang it half way thru...kinda beats the idea of hiflow exhaust.
The rsx bar will definitly be the one that i will get.

I am thinking 185.00 + shipping for the bar all parts hardware stickers ect. I work in Corona Ca If someone wants to pick it up ..I would rather do a face to face deal than ship. Also next week I will be in the LA area for the holidays. I figure I got it for 191 plus tax So a lilbit of a discount for my misfourtune.

If the progress bar didn't fit which is 22mm then why do you think the RSX bar will fit which is 19mm, whats only 3mm difference, and 3mm is pretty tiny. You are talking that you'd have to bang half way through your exhaust or something to make it fit??? Well unless the RSX bar is shaped differently, you'll probably have a problem with the RSX bar too, just a thought...

Exactly right!!!!!!!!!! the reason the Progress one does not fit is not because of the thickness its because their design/shape is different than stock. Why they did this I don't know ...maybe it adds to its rigidity, but god how friggen stiff do you want it its already 22mm. I'm hoping/ betting that the RSX bar will have the same if not close to the same shape as my civic one and clear my exhaust.

Even the RSX-S sway bar hits my TCS sometimes. u can what was said or you take the exhaust to a muffler shop to bend the pipe slightly to clear to bar.
