who has blown there shocks?!?
I've been riding on eibach sportlines for about 7 months (9000 miles), and my shocks are fine. However, to answer your question about replacements, I believe the only aftermarket replacements right now are the Koni yellows. I think they run about $550 a set. Tokico is supposed to have shocks and struts out for our cars early next year.

I've had blown rears for almost a year now. they blew about a month after I installed my ground controls and slammed it. Could'nt wait any longer for the tokicos so I just ordered a set of 4 Konis from tornactive. Bouncing gets old.

Same with me i had stock springs and blew my front pass. side shock. but got it replace under the warranty and then i put my coilovers on. I also waiting for the KYB OBX shocks and sturts to come out. or just go with a full coilover system, best way to go but a little $$$$

I never had any blown shocks cause I put Konis on when I put on my springs.
But I did get a blow job from a fat chick once in the back seat and the shocks held up ok.
and DIY installation with a 2" drop on stock shocks....
how will i knoe if i blow them and i thought u can still drive with blown shocks?

Push down on one corner of your car several times and get it bouncing. If it bounces more than once after you stop pushing on it, the shock on that corner may be bad. With real good shocks the car should stop bouncing right away after you stop pushing it up and down.
Also if the seals are blown, there will be oil on the shock that has leaked from the inside to the outside. Often there will be lots of dirt stuck to the oil. That's what mostly happens when they blow, the seals go bad and the dampening oil leaks out. Then all you have is the tubes and pistons with some air inside.

While changing back to stock wheels for the northeast snow storm I saw the front pass blew (Everything is oem). Sounds like a lot of us are having this problem???

I've got the eibach pro-kit and I cant tell if they're blown or not.. it still feels really stuff, but the left rear has like no finger gap and my right rear has 1 finger gap and my car looks lopsided! Would a blown shock make the car lower on that side?
Hey IDQ, I'm not really sure what the difference is between a shock and a strut, if there is any? However, I used to have an 87 Ford Tempo (I know, pimpin ride ). It had a blown strut and the car leaned to the right. I also had a friend who had a truck with a blown strut and it leaned as well. Sounds like this could be your problem.

I remember reading that the left side sits lower than the right due to it being heavier on that side. Some peeps notcie it, some dont. I noticed it the first week I have my coupe. A blown shock shouldnt affect the ride height, as the height set by the springs.
Left front seems to be a problem on some 01's. I converted struts for a guy for Konis and he had a blown left stock strut. Then he told me the koni also blew. These were two different sets of strut housings too. There just seems to be a problem there that dealers should have a buletin for..
