205/40/17 ... yeah that perch is all the way down ... i talked to my mechanic and he said that I can purchase special springs that can replace the tein ss springs, if i wanted to drop the front more ..! he said that i would have to call tein usa to special order them and made to my cars specification .. ! i hope this is true .. cuz i'm gonna be purchasing them soon because i want my car lowered !!

Any strange noises coming from these coilovers?

By the way, how did that plastic bearing get so screwed up?

I've had my suspension apart a number of times but that bearing was always in perfect condition.

does it have a nice stiff sporty ride..or is a littlemore tame?..I'm looking for some very performance oriented coilvers or springs/koni setup..

there is a slight creaking noise coming from the rear, but this only happens if i put too much stress on the shocks (like going down a steep ramp or going over a big'ol speed bumps), but u can hardly hear it .. u can hear it if u turn u'r stereo off.

well i had goldline springs, but it was already cut when i bought it .. (bought it from a friend already used) .. and my front end before was like 4 in. off the ground .. so it was really really slammed .. u can barely put all five fingers between the front bumper and the ground .....

ps : my ride used to ride like a canoe on the rapids .. i swear .. i would always hit my dashboard, because i hated the ride on them 'ol springs ! ...its like 110% better right now !!

this is the best investment so far ... ! it depends on you .. u can make it stiff if u want .. i have mine on the standard settings right now .. and it is perfect .. not bouncy and not too stiff ..! its just perfect .. i'm not scared to go over anything anymore ...! .. i rate these coilovers a 10

The benefits of front wheel drive cars having a stiffer rear. It corrects the understeer and gives you a little oversteer. You should get a stiffer sway bar for the rear next and strut bars(if you do not have them already).

looks nice man, i hope to be installing my Tein's this weekend. btw, i ordered all new parts for the stuff you have to re-use like the rear dust cover and upper mount and the front mount and bearings etc. did your OEM washer break because of the Teins or because of your previous spring-based drop?

i plan to post a DIY of my install, with lots of pics and exact parts list of what parts you have to re-use and all that stuff. i'll also be installing an Ingalls rear camber kit and SPC front camber kit.

ahh, ok, good i thought the washer broke cause of the Teins

well, it looks like the required OEM parts (the ones you have to re-use for the Teins) i ordered are gonna ship today, so they should be here on Friday, and the front and rear camber kits have already come, and the Teins are coming from TornActive on Thursday, and the Neuspeed front upper strut bar from TornActive is coming on friday too. on friday i plan to work from home so i can get started early since im sure it'll take several hours...hopefully by saturday i'll have a completely differently riding car

i'll post the pics and DIY shortly after...wish me luck

thanks man, i hope it goes well esp since im gonna take a long trip (going to baltimore w/ my girlfriend to celebrate our 9month anniversary ) on saturday--the day after im doing the install--so i'll have very little time to fix things if i mess up heh

yeah, the Neuspeed upper front strut-tower bar will fit just fine with any intake, it is really the least obtrusive on the engine bay of any intakes i've seen, and IMO looks the nicest (esp since you can get it in black so it really blends in).

btw, i wish to give mad props to Rob @ TornActive for being so damn awesome (and having such an awesome company with great prices, customer service, products, etc) i am so glad i was able to get this stuff through him, and i will absolutely not ever hesitate to give him my patronage many times in the future....now all it will take is money...
