Strange idea for stock shock

If the stock struts are underdampened for lowering springs can't we just drill a hole in the top of the shock, drain out the oil and use a thicker viscosity of oil? Would that not solve the problem?

Then you would just have to thread that hole, prime out the air somehow and cap it with some sort of hex screw.

Just some crazy idea i thought up.

slikor is an unknown quantity at this point
hmm that could work, sounds workable to me, diffucult and time consuming, but workable heh

it'd be easier to just buy aftermarket shocks i think but you do get props for such an original idea

it would destroy the internals of the strut big time.. it sounds good in theory..but all the parts in a strut are made to work together..the thin oil and soft valves go hand in hand..put in a thicker oil and those soft valves buckle
