Stiffen up that chassis! Got understeer

As I was going through the ClubRSX forums, I ran into this thread.

Which led me to of course this site.

It appears as if they're making one for our cars, too. If you're too lazy to click the links, the product is a chassis stiffening kit called X-brace by D3 and they just made kits for the RSX and our going to make some for our cars along with other new models.

Check it out. The details are in both links while most of questions that were asked about it are in the first link. The actual product is in the 2nd.

Just read the thread a bit. I'm too sleepy to read and I gotta do hW. Heheh. Anyway, when are they coming an application for our EM Civics'? Will there a direct bolt-on for the 2k1 LX? I'm really interested but it seems pricey, just as long it "virtually eliminates the understeer" at least some then I think it's worth it.

I'd have to see a diagram of where these components connect to the body, frame, or suspension. Who's to say these areas aren't already stiff enough. I think most of the flex is at the struts, which is fixed easily enough by strut bars.

I noticed that the only difference between the Full CSK-C and the regular CSK-C is the Front Strut Bar, with a price difference of $155. That's kinda high for just a strut bar. If you divide the $275 for the regular kit by the number of bars (4), you get an average price, per bar, of $68. Still kinda high for just steel bars. Somebody with connections to a metalshop could have that made much cheaper with same or better quality. Maybe powercoat them a slick color? hrmmm.

Personally, I'll pass until I start hearing some praise or gripes from the early adopters. I'm still waiting for Progress to get that frikkin sway bar hardware kit for the DX's out.
