Rep Power: 0 Driving with blown shocks
How long can you drive with blown shocks? I have heard that you can drive as long as you want as long as you dont mind the harsh ride? Is that true. Can you really ride around forever without them without messing up any other parts in the car??

Rep Power: 0 I think mine were blown soon after I got lowered by Sportlines. Damn city streetcar tracks. Of course, you can theoretically blow your shocks just by it sitting on a higher compression over a period of time.
I was bouncing all over and my gut just couldn't take it. Worse I had regularly 3-4 passengers in my car back then, and 4 guts were a lot to turn.
Koni's now installed and I love em!!!

Rep Power: 0 Well, maybe mine aren't blown. The ride is bouncy but isn't really harsh enough to bother my back or my kindneys for Heaven's sake! Dayum, I don't know what happened to you guys struts to be talking like that. Anyhow, I will replace mine but I am waiting for FULL replacements, not inserts for 550 bucks. INsane imo. Hopefullly, the tokicos will be out soon.

Rep Power: 0 I think someone's said the Tokico's will be delayed until next year.
You're looking at $550 for inserts that will likely cost as much as Tokico's full replacement. But remember, you also have the 1 extra year of your car's prime life to enjoy the upgraded shocks! I.e., I will likely have my Koni's for the life of the car (at least in my hands), 5 years? Wherease 5 years from now you've only used your Tokico's for 4, assuming they actually come out and you get them next year.
Ah well, personal preference. Also, you're talking good mid-range quality shocks with Koni's, with Tein being a possibly better quality, and Tokico I think is lower down the ladder... Damn I'm tired, don't mean to start a huge deal about the best shocks, but my .02.
