bad sounding noises

I'm getting a bad clanking noise from my back right wheel when I go over any nominal bumps and dips. My 01 ex sedan has been lowered with neuspeed sports and a SCP camber kit in the rear. I also just put some 17" wheels yesterday with 215/45 tires. I dunno what the noise is. I've tired looking for it while the car was in park by bouncing/ shaking it with no success. I know it is not anything in my trunk and it's not the arm hitting the exhaust. i'm pretty sure it's not a blown strut because i'm not bouncing everywhere. does anyone have a solution? any advice? should i take it to a shop? to honda? please help me. thanks

didn't you have a problem with your springs before? is it the same one? and does it sound like somethings loose? cause alot of people with new springs are getting this problem.

it's the same one but it's more noticeable now because i hear it on the road as oppossed to driving off my drive way. i tightened the spare tire and it seems a little better, but it's more probable that i was driving really slow and taking turns really slow too. yeah, it sounds like somethign is loose. clanking popping when i go over bumps. like 2 metal plates clanking together. it's only the right rear wheel. here's some pics of inside the wheel. nothing looks wrong to me.

There is a bracket that holds the rear brake line, I believe. Keeps it from hitting the wheel or spring mount. This has to be removed during spring install and sometimes they forget to put it back on. The noise could be your brake line hitting somewhere. Check that out. I believe it's in the DIY section on spring install or rear tire bar install.

I always get noise from my front springs. Popping when driving slowly and turning, and all kinds of clanging when driving down the road over bumps and so forth. I have the neuspeed sports and had the prokits to begin with. I only had the popping noise when turning at a slow pace with them, no clanging sounds. I don't know what happened. I used the same marks on the strut housing I originally made for the prokits and installed everything the same way. I don't usually hear it though because the music is up too loud.

I would be interested in how many people have lowered their cars more than inch and don't have any of these noise problems. Someone should post up a pole or something.

ive had my springs about 5 days now and im getting that sound coming from the front left side. sounds like exactly what ya'll are talking about, over small bumps and its most noticeable driving through neighborhoods going slow. my friend says its normal, but it bugs the hell out of me. i have a theory that this may be stock shocks having a hard time? is everyone that has this sound running stock shocks???

my springs knocking? read silver2002's posts.. he talks about the top rubber peice not being aligned right... also you should have used the rubber tubing found on your stock springs and put them on your lower springs(they go on the bottom of the springs, where it sits on the lower perch). my car didn't come with the rubber tubing however...

When you put lowering springs you need to cut some off the rear bump stops. Maybe the front's too. Depending on the springs, stock shocks might last from 3 months to a year, depending on the roads and how you drive. I don't see much advantage to just putting springs, unless you do it just for looks. If you want handling, you really need some good shocks to go with those springs.
