Konis, w/ ????? lowering springs
ok
so far i know i'm gettin konis but what springs should get? I have a set of tenzo r shu-4 in gunmetal 17's and want to get rid of the fender gap. I want a clean lowered look. Anybody with a similar setup please post some pics and all replies appreciated.

why not get sleeved coilovers since your getting konis? most people get springs due to their budget so they usually dont get konis... but ya if you still want to stick with springs i personally like the look of neuspeed race. about a 2.25/2.0" drop... i have neuspeed sports and have a 1 1/2 finger gap with stock wheels, 1 finger gap with my 18s. what tire size do you have? but ya it depends on what look your going for and how much your willing to sacrifice.. with neuspeed sports, you kill the gap and have a dropped look but it isn't slammed. you dont have to worry about rubbing/scraping tho... neuspeed race will probably give you a slammed look but you might have to drive a lil more careful tho.

ground controls will fit 2002 but just make sure you get the one made for the 2002(yes they have one for the 01 and 02.) i think its just an adapter tho. just to let you know people have been having problems with ground controls so you might want to look at skunk2s. or for a little bit more money, you could get true coilovers such as B&G.
sleeved coilovers: $300
konis: $550-600
= $850-900
true coilovers are from $800-1200. these would be better then a sleeved coilover+koni because true coilovers have both shock and spring that are designed to work together...

Ok iam either thinking of skunk2 coilovers with the konis or neuspeed sports with the konis. Do i need a camber kit for either. Will either have a bouncy or weird ride? thanx guys

your questions have been answered before so please search... whether or not you need a camber kit really depends on how low you drop your car. i mean its always good to get one to save tire wear but if it only lets you go an extra 100 miles its not really worth it to me. with neuspeed sports, its kinda borderline but after looking at my new tires(i have neuspeed sports) i think i'm going to go get one for the rear. since we have mcpherson struts up front, the camber isnt effected too much so you should be fine unless if you slamm your car 4"s. but ya general rule is lower you go, the more you need it.
sleeved coilovers usually give a worse ride then springs but since your getting konis it shouldnt be too badd.

Hey i just had goldlines installed, love the ride so far...check out my members page for pix. So far it sits 1 1/2 finger gap front and no finger back...trying to fix the problem but it still looks good and rides good.
From a performance perspective (and since you're getting koni's, you are probably performance minded) stick with springs, sleeved coilovers ride very harsh if you run them low, and their spring rates increase the farther you drop your car. I personally am running koni's and H&R's and like them very much.
