Gee, weird. I thought I posted a few threads about the JIC. Well, I believe there coming out in a few weeks and probably be around 1250 from tornactive. That's what he quoted me awhile back. They are a good suspension company and well known in Japan. I think they are comparable to Tein almost, but just not as popular yet. Thing is that I think they're more for the race minded driver. They do not have adjustable dampning and use spherical ball upper mounts. Spherical upper mounts mean no rubber or poly to cushion the road. Just metal to metal for better response to driving, but harsher ride. If your into comfort, you might want to get the B&G. PM 2 cute for a number to her hookup. He might be able to still get you the 1000 for the set hookup. If in cali, tax will be counted. The hookup is from mmrusa.com. Very legit distributor in southern cali.

As for NEX, they're cheap but discontinued in the mean time because of bad craftsmanship. They're doing recall and fixing a toe alignment problem I believe. But those things are hella stiff because they are Spec RAce. The JIC come in a few styles, SF-1(most streetable), FLT(stiffer but more adjustability), FLT-A2 (stiff but alot more adjustability in dampning and height)

Your going to regret KOni and ground control setup because ground controls have alot of physical problems like tearing and messed up threads. They're too bouncy because of high spring rates and Konis lose alot of shock travel because they're not shortened struts. They're really just replacements. It will cost you around 900 for Koni Ground Control setup anyway, so put out another 100 for the B&G, which is the best you can get RIGHT NOW! Tein isn't out till Fall and JIC will be out soon, but not sure.

Hope this one reply helped you out a little.

I think my friend was telling me that over in Japan, these are very popular, and you don't have to replace your stock shocks with them.

EDIT: They seem to be the leader in coilover technology.

They are full coilovers which have springs and shocks. So you replace your springs and shocks but you can always go back to factory suspension when ever you want.

Is it out yet? Is there a more recent update on the price for it? I might consider it.

JIC part numbers for our civics are:
SF-1: part#: ESSF1
FLT-2: part#: ESFLT2
FLT-A2: part#: ESFLTA2

Their website, which I can't seem to get in to now... www.jic-magic.com

EDIT:
Japanese site is working...

JIC-Magic,

Hey guys JIC is coming out with coilovers for your cars but it will take another 60-90 days to complete R&D on the product. The process starts with a japanese product which is sent here and re-developed on US soil to our specs. because face it if we drove our cars with the dampening and spring rates of thier cars we would have no teeth and our kids would have broken necks. so before the suspension is released it mus be installed onto a US vehicle and tested on all aspects of spring rates and valving. once this is all done then they can be manufactured and brought over in large quantities.

I have driven 3rd gen RX-7's, GS400's, 3000GT VR-4's, integra's, and IS300's on JIC and they all were give a drastic improvement in handling and stability. Not to mention that these things look awesome, and can be rebuilt in the USA(if they get broke they can be fixed here instead of sending them overseas or buying a new coilover!)

if you guys have any other questions please feel free to ask them,

Thanks,
Sean(wheelguruuu)

JIC suspension kit without upper pillow mounts ARE out for our cars. I've seen them stock at a local shop. 1200+tax. They also have them WITH the upper pillow mount but you'll have to order that from Japan which would bring the grand total to 1700+tax.
