Neuspeed Sport Springs
im just wondering what everyones oppions on the sport springs are. im thinkin of lowering my coupe 1.5-2 inches. How long do the stock struts last, and if i get a chamber kit for front and rear wheels, will the tires wear faster than usual? and yes, i have searched the forum allready.

my car sits high in the rear with the sports, even after i got the coupe springs. i'm very annoyed and calling neuspeed today. oh yeah and yes get the camber kit. dont worry about struts right away just cut the strut bump stops
I have no problem with mine. Actually I recommend them. But if I had a camber kit I would go with the race springs or G.C. Coilovers. If you have a camber kit then your tires will not wear out faster, that is what they prevent.

civicpimpin01 - Why would you get Race Springs if you had a camber kit? I am getting the Sports Springs and I have a camber kit. Are you just saying that the Sports Springs don't drop the car enough to need a camber kit?

if you saw it in person, you'd feel the same way as me. the car looks like a hot rod. the drop in the front is sweet, but the back looks stock. the pic i have in the members ride section is at the wrong angle to see the uneveness

hawk, how high is the back now? because i had the 4 door ones before and had like a 3-4 finger gap. now i have the 2 door and have a 2 finger gap in the back(same as the front).
SQCivic, most people will say you dont NEED it for anything higher then a 2" drop but its always best to get one so dont feel badd... i have sports and imma probably get one when i get my rims, dont want to spend 500 on tires every 6 months...
HeRbaLuS, .5 makes a really big difference when it comes to fender gap
but ya as hawk said the sports look fine in pictures but in person its still too high. if you have a kit it should be fine. but i dont so i wish i gotten race.

sqcivic, what kind of tires do you have? if you could get new ones would you get a different size? why? i'm asking cause i'm planning on getting 18s but with 215-40-18 instead of 215-35-18. because 1) the 35s look too thing and i'm afraid imma crack them due to my crazy driving in the ghetto streets of LA 2) its a lil cheaper(i think) 3) i prefer less actual miles on my odometer then more...

Actually, I haven't got the tires yet. I just have the wheels. I was thinking 215/40/18's as well. Since the Sports are not a drastic drop I would think that tire size would work great. It is also the closest size to stock for 18's.

i got the same problem with the sport springs... the back is kinda too high.
i say we should just put some bricks in our trunk
but i think if we had a system in the trunk it would help a little

i'm still waiting on my order for the set of neuspeed sport. i want to ask everyone's opinion.
should i cut the rear right away before installing it and letting it settle? or should i put in on without cutting, let it settle, then cut if its too high?
also, i heard that the fender gap in both front and rear are the same. the rear really just looks a little higher thatn the front, but its normal and not bad, lookswise.

i'm thinking you dont know theres a kit for a 4 door and one for 2 door... some people have cut their rear springs because they have the 4 door kit on their 2 door. this was due to neuspeed making only one set of spring untill a couple months ago when they released the 2 door spring cause they got complaints the rear was too high on the 2 door. but ya if you have a 2 door and got the 2 door kit, it should be fine, you should have a 1 1/2 finger gap after it settles. but if you got the 4 door then i would cut it before i put it on in order to save installation. but ya who knows maybe you'll be happy with the 4 door even if you dont cut it. this is just my suggestion so dont blame me if you cut it and later decide you dont like it...

if you got a 4 door and you put the 4 door model on your car it makes the rear still be higher by alot????
or does it make the drop more even with the 4 doors....
i'm trying to find springs that i know wont make my car sag in the rear and not make it high up in the air???

a 4 door kit would be fine on a 4 door car.. its the 4 door kit on a 2 door car that makes the rear higher.... if you want pictures of the drop, goto the suspension FAQ and look under 'neuspeed 4 door sport springs' you'll find like 5 pictures of how the drop looks.

actually VNlilMAN, i did know that. i ordered them but haven't gotten them yet. i just thought that this was a problem with the neuspeed sport in general. so you don't think this is going to be a problem for me coz i got the ones for the coupe? i'm going try to look for pics of a coupe with neuspeed sport FOR coupes. if you have a link you could give me, that'll be helpful.

sorry dont have any pics of coupe on coupe but i have the coupe on coupe... neuspeed replaced mine for free and the drop of the front is the same as the back... 1 1/2 finger gap on all corners, so DONT CUT IT. its a perfect drop.
