I bought some coilovers for my 05 civic and I threw the front ones on and maxed them out to lowest height and the car did not lower if anything it got a bit higher but the 3 collars are touching I'm greatly confused please any advice.

Please specify the brand of coilovers. Are they fixed or adjustable coilovers?

You also might need to give it time to settle in. When I first installed coilovers on me EM2, took a few days for them to even out. One side was noticeably lower than the other when I first installed them, but got to the same-ish level after driving around a bit. I got hella paranoid, no lie. Just make sure that when you adjust them, the perches are adjusted as close as possible to each other. If they still don't level out, measure height difference (with "normal" vehicle load -- e.g. driver in seat, etc) and adjust accordingly. I used a digital caliper to get them as close to each other as I could, within a few mm adjustment.

They are adjustable I maxed out all the collars they are touching and the ride height is at the lowes I think it can be.

Did you adjust the preload or height? What brand are they?
