I think your safe with your springs. I would get coils only if you plan on racing or showing the car. For everyday driving and looks, your springs should be fine. What springs did you end up getting?

the shock itself will be the biggest difference when the car is a day driver. As far as springs vs. coilovers, I would go with coilovers cause this way you can raise your car, for myself I would prefer this so in the winter I can re-raise my car. Weight wise, springs are a little bit lighter.

here is the thing coils do give a better ride and the real thing is the shocks but coils are better b/c if a cop pulls you over for having your ride to low you will have to raise your car (TEMPORARY) and with coils you can do it in about 10 min and with springs it will be MUCH longer

i would recommend you to go with springs...cause that's more comfortable..
and your ride will be lower... you should go with neuspeed race...
match it with 16" it's tuck in...nice

If you just go with springs do you need to buy anything else to support the suspension?

you dont need to buy anything else but it is recommended that you get aftermarket shocks and a camber kit.

If that's true, that would completely defeat MY reason for getting them... Raise for winter.

Damn!

Springs will definitely give you a better ride. If you are bouncing aroung like crazy then you have blown shocks. Buy some Konis and it should get rid of some bounce.

For sure the ride will be bouncing a little....but for me, that's the price to pay for being lowered.....no???

its not the snow, its the salt that could mess it up... if you read his post carefully he wrote '..and they salt the roads'.

Dude, if what you mean by this is that your ride is extremely bouncy ,you might wanna check your shocks... they might be blown which is not a good thing.
