Tein H.Tech Springs Fitment Confusion
Tein H.Tech Springs Fitment Confusion
So I'm looking into these springs as replacement for the factory springs, which I'd like to replace when I swap the worn-out factory shocks for Koni STR.Ts (orange). Problem is I have an '02 ES2, and these shocks seem to be designed for an EM2. I really don't want my tail-end to sag like a ****, I'm trying to stay close to stock ride-height. Seeing some other threads on here indicating hit or miss as far as this issue goes, anybody have more complex knowledge of this issue than me?

Re: Tein H.Tech Springs Fitment Confusion
Ride hight is determined by the spring not the shock. The rear looks like it sags sometimes because the rear is lower then the front from the factory and it’s more noticeable when it’s lowered. To fix this get Springs with a smaller rear drop or larger front. Or get coilovers.
Unless the springs are broken they shouldn’t need replacement.

Re: Tein H.Tech Springs Fitment Confusion
Would you recommend sticking with the factory springs on the new STR.Ts? I've not inspected the springs closely, so I've got no reason to suspect they're damaged, but I'm clueless as to how springs wear (and I work at AutoZone and don't know such things—don't shoot me yet). Something I read months ago persuaded me to replace the springs. The only thing I really would change about the suspension, new shocks aside, would be something to reduce the severe understeer. It's been a great car but it handles like a shopping cart.

Tokiko blues can handle most aftermarket springs.
Am confused, what you already have, why are you trying to change springs.
Understeer? Get rsx rear anti roll bar and slap it into the rear of your car.

Re: Tein H.Tech Springs Fitment Confusion
I probably won't change springs if I don't need to, I simply was lead to believe it would make an impact if I did so, from some post I did months ago. I was looking at Tokico Blues, had them in an Amazon cart months ago, cheapest "OE+" (as I'm told) option at the time would've ended up being Tokico blues on the front and Koni orange on the rear, but I found a decent bundle deal on front+rear Koni's so I bought them (actually just placed the order). Maybe the springs don't need changed, like I said above I'm not knowledgeable as to how springs wear on your average motor vehicle. Thanks for the input though.
