Help help

so i installed a used nrg front strut bar today went pretty well besides my intake now sitting at almost a 45 degree angle because the bar goes directly over the TB, anyway when the car was jacked up i accidentally jacked it up too high and the top hat bolts went through the hole and i had to fish them back to the right spot. now as im driving at the end of the day when going around left turns and only left turns there is a repetitive clunking kind of noise (sounds like duh duh duh duh duh duh duh) that matches speed when brake is depressed it becomes louder but after 50% depression it stops and once i hit the gas and i drive the axle it stops immediately. the problem is probably related to the bar bu tell me why? and if this is going to kill me or my car if i dont take the bar off immediatley

Re: Help help

why was the car jacked up to install a strut bar ??? as for the intake you can trim the intake at the throttle body to clear the bar i had the same problem with my old bar i just trimmed the intake but later i just bought a neuspeed bar i wouldn't recommend trimming it if you have a dual stage tube like aem v2 or secret weapon.

Not sure why you jacked it up for a strut bar install... but okay, haha.
Suspension is a tricky little thing. Move one nut and all of a sudden you've got clunks and rattles all over. I just installed my new rear sway bar and there's this ungodly terrifying noise coming from the passenger rear section. I checked to make sure everything was tight and secure and it sure was. I even put a foam piece between my exhaust and sway bar because I thought that they might be rubbing, but no. Turns out, in the end, all that clunking wasn't actually the suspension, but I had a loose lugnut on my rear wheel
Check to see if that may be your problem, lol, otherwise you may have misaligned some parts of the strut that need to be re-seated properly.

Re: Help help

I read somewhere you should jack it up so when it let down the frame is pre stressed or something like that

Re: Help help

nope there is no need to jack up a car before installing a strut bar you want the car to be level.

Re: Help help

so i found out my noise was from me swerving on the road to see the decrease in body roll, i recently got those new wheels and i didnt know i was supposed to tighten the lugs every so often with new wheels so the swerving loosened 3 of the 4 lugs on the left front wheel and the pulling wsa a result of the front left tire being deflated 10 psi less than the other side so when the gas was hit the torque pushed the wheel down furhter and pulled left. so all i had to do was tighten the lugs and go to a gas station and fill up the tires lol
