i have a 03 civic and i am wondering how much weight i can put in the trunk and keep it in there for a while without hurting anything/

i would not keep it in there too long. the rear shocks are already very weak, and excess weight can cause them to blow out esp if they are old. the weight limit of the car is 800 lbs i think including passengers, so youre okay as far as that goes, but it will really affect how the car handles and uses gas. dont forget to add more air to the tires, at least 32 psi instead of 30. for a week or two it prolly wont hurt anything.
