01 civic lx squeaking
01 civic lx squeaking
Everytime i go through a hole, ramp, or something that makes the suspension move, i hear the squeaking sound, from the back suspensions.
I've cleaned it, and sprayed a lubricant on (lubriline). It stopped for about one week, and now it's returning.
What's the cause of this annoying squeak? Bushings maybe? If i keep lubricating it, will it go away after a few "cycles"?

yes, could be your bushings, perhaps camber kit? or maybe even the top mounts on the shock are worn? the problem with lube is that it might not penetrate your bushings enough- so u might have to remove them and then lube or just replace the bushings in general

then perhaps you shouldnt toy with it if u dont know what u r doing, unless yo uhave another car you can drive? the shocks might be easier to take apart than the bushings and theres a DIY here for spring installation-so just reverse the order, but if it's your bushings then you probably have to get it professionally replaced. ive learned the lubing your bushings without actualy removing the bushings does little to nothing. there's a product called PB blaster that soaks into the bushings and it helps a little bit, but it's only a temp. fix. i haev the same problem and i decided to live with itand turn the music on and worry about it whenth enoise gets louder. Another thing to note is that if ur bushings are torn you will constantly hear it while driving, not just under bumps or whatnot.
