Re: lowering law problems
uhhh maybe you should read before you post neon car not lights
.but lowering your car is illegal in most states because of people doing it improperly being unsafe on public roads but the only thing i would recommend is not dropping it so low.get coil overs so you can raise it if the dmv has to check it.

Re: lowering law problems
make sure you understand the law. lowering a car is perfectly legal, so long as the ride height is within certain measurements (from the ground up to the frame). many oem honda vehicles come 1 inch lower drop from the factory with the hfp suspension upgrade.

Here in Cali this page is your friend http://www.chp.ca.gov/community/streetlegal.html
Officers will usually get you for:
Lowered frame (or any other part) that is lower than the lowest point of the wheel rim (24008 VC). Meaning nothing can hang lower than the lower lip of your rim...exhaust, lip kits, body kits, tow hooks etc etc.
(24400 VC). (a) A motor vehicle, other than a motorcycle, shall be:
(1) Equipped with at least two headlamps, with at least one on each side of the front of the vehicle, and, except as to vehicles registered prior to January 1, 1930, they shall be located directly above or in advance of the front axle of the vehicle. The headlamps and every light source in any headlamp unit shall be located at a height of not more than 54 inches nor less than 22 inches.
Be careful because many older Hondas and Acuras come with headlights close to 22 inches stock from the factory.
Hope this helps.
