Little advice needed
Little advice needed
Hey guys, just before I get too far ahead of myself I wanted to get some advice.
Would it be worth putting strut bars in for just normal driving if so do you need to put front and rear strut bars in? Also I have a cold air intake on my car and it looks like a front strut may interfere with it?
I am not so much looking to lower my car just improve the ride, would coil overs be any benefit? The ones I’m looking at are on eBay pretty cheap...
Thanks for any input

no, you do not need both front and rear, but it is nice to have! I have the following:
Neuspeed Front Upper Strut Bar
Neuspeed Front Lower X-Brace
JDM Civic Type R Rear Upper Strut Bar
I like the ride, and I am on steelies, and stock shocks/springs

Lowering your car will make it handle better. Coilovers will allow you to adjust your ride height. If this is something you desire then go with coilovers. Otherwise, it is cheaper to just purchase a new set of springs and shocks.

1) Strut bars do ****.
2) If you had read the FAQ you will see the strut bars that fit with intakes
3) Keep buying that ebay **** because it's cheap and come back here bitching that something is banging or leaking.
4) Read the FAQ.

1) Find a forum you think will answer your question
2) Read it for a bit to become familiar with it
3) Read the FAQ for the specific section you are interested in
4) Use the search button
5) Post if you can't find your answer
And basically, he has no information in his first post besides "tell me what to get". Which gets old.
Re: Little advice needed
yeah i know what you mean but this will be around forever just like the INTAKE AND EXHAUST questions its impossible to get rid of next he will ask what intake is the best!
Re: Little advice needed
Didn't realize you guys were so intense, I think I pretty much got what I needed to know before boxcarracer and robclark came into play. You guys are making a big deal about the same questions being asked but you’re the ones wasting your time being dicks to people. You could have spent all that time you used to try and make me feel like an idiot and just give me some decent advice. Anyway thanks to all who gave their input I got what I needed.
Also I already have an intake; maybe you didn't read that far (boxcarracer)

Re: Little advice needed
All the advice you needed is the faq and has already been given. We are adviced out when you ask such a blanketed question. I mean really...say you roll into a Best Buy and say "What TV should I get?" I am sure that will be followed by a series of questions by the clerk. Next time, answer those questions in the first post. I'm not trying to be a dick, well yeah I am, but in some respects, people don't like to help those who don't help themselves.
Re: Little advice needed
I used Eibach sportline kit to lower mine with chamber plates in the back I was gonna go with coilovers but since I drive my everyday I decided to stick with springs. The ride is alot stiffer but I havent had really any problems with it .. All Im having trouble with is the driver side back tire its more negative than the rest of the tires even after an allignment but eibach springs are awesome
