Eibach Pro-Street Coilover Kit #: 4051.711 (2001 & 2002)
I did a search on this and didn't find any threads or posts.
Is anyone currently running or has previously run the Eibach Pro-Street Coilovers?!
For the 2001 & 2002 Civics, the Eibach website has it as Kit#: 4051.711
Given the Eibach reputation, I would assume that these Coilovers are of high quality craftsmanship along with R&D behind it?
The only picture I've been able to find of the actual kit is this one... http://www.raceinspired.com/p-8818-e...2001-2005.aspx
Can anyone comment?
Any kind of feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks!

I'm in the market for a new suspension setup and I'm exploring my options.
Now, I've come across many posts and threads regarding pretty much every setup out there... except these Eibach Coilovers.
I found this quite surprising! As reputable as Eibach is.... it seems like no one on the forums has tried these Coilovers.
Even more surprising... after searching on Google, I came across ONE post on Honda Tech on a set of Eibach Pro Street Coilovers installed on a 2000 Civic... and that seems to be the ONLY review Google could find! It's a very positive review also... and that guy is running them to date, after 2 years... and he says it still runs great!
In that thread, I also read something like... these Coilovers were built for Eibach by KW... to Eibach specs. Maybe that explains why (by looking at the picture) the design and quality seem to be similar to KW's Variant 2 Coilovers.

well what exactly are you going to be doing with the car? just daily driving it lookin to get that lowered look? or any type of racing involved? they look pretty nice... i never heard of eibach making a bad product either so im sure if your gonna go into the raacing scene with them you wont be disapointed. the only downside i see is that you can only lower it 1.4 inches? a personal preference for me is to ride slammed so yeah lol.

I drive my car year round, including the winter... so, it's mainly for daily driving. I do plan on hitting the track this year as well.
I agree, I haven't read any negative reviews on any Eibach product, for any vehicle.
As far as these Coilovers go, it seems that there is no Damper adjustability, like the Tein SS. This isn't a huge factor for me as I'm sure Eibach has tuned it for optimal performance.
The 1.4 you mentioned is on the low side. The official Eibach website says it came lower the car from 1.4 to 2.6.
Another Eibach advantage is the warranty. The site says 2 years... but I heard that if the set is installed by a licensed technician and you have the paperwork to prove it, that the warranty is 'lifetime'? I'm going to call Eibach to verify this.

they're probably really similar, or actually are ground controls.
i know some friends that have the pro-street coilovers on older civics and have no complaints.

I called Eibach today and they confirmed that KW Suspension Germany built these Coilovers for Eibach, to Eibach Valving Specs. Then, it gets shipped here and the helper springs and main springs are then added by Eibach North America.
I was wondering why, when I first saw the picture, it immediately occurred to me that they looked just like the KW design!
The Eibach representative also said, this is basically the same exact design as KW's Variant 1 Coilovers... only difference being, is it tuned to Eibach specs. then matched with Eibach Springs. With that said, I wonder if the Eibach's are also coated with KW's INOX coating... and whether or not that means, the Eibach's are better tuned than the KW Variant 1?
In either case, these Coilovers seem to be very high quality. I just might consider them. I'm waiting to get local quotes on the Eibach's, and KW Variant 1 and 2.

Last week, I decided to order the Tein's over the Eibach's... so today, I finally got my SS-P's... and wow, do they ever look good!!!
Here's a link to all the pics... http://good-times.webshots.com/album/563525057tpEyGd
For those of you with the SS-P setup... did you guys check the torque of the center upper nut, in the middle of the Upper Mounts?
How did you guys manage to tighten/turn that top nut, without having the Piston Rod turn with it? I think by having the Rod turn, isn't good for the Internal Valving Components?
Also, the Spring on the 'L' assembly is a little loose. Is this normal? I'm just curious, because the other 3 Coilovers' Springs are all tight.

do coilovers make sounds when u turn the steering wheel? i've heard this happens, and its one of the things thats stopping me from getting coilovers... if not i'll prob get springs/shocks

i had more issues noise wise with spring/shock combo than I have with my coilovers. The only thing about the coilovers is that sometimes I have to grease them down on hot days or if I drive through sand or rocks or whatever.

Yup, back when I was doing my research, not ONE PERSON had it or currently have it on their 7thGens. So, instead... I went with the SS-P's!
Honestly bud, like I said earlier... Eibach, Tein, KW... are all reputable brands. You can't go wrong really...
It just comes down to personal preference.

Re: Eibach Pro-Street Coilover Kit #: 4051.711 (2001 & 2002)
I guess I should be more specific, is it a shitty product or do you not know how to adjust them to your liking. Nevertheless, sorry for your suspension woes.
Re: Eibach Pro-Street Coilover Kit #: 4051.711 (2001 & 2002)
i'd say shitty for me and just not a perfected setup ... i mean if i take time to explain.. everyone almost 8/10 people experienced clinging noises from the front when u turn the steering wheel and u have to always tighten the top allen screw to get rid of this nasty noise. i have read about clunking noises also coming from the back over bumps... again for a DD they are good coilovers i guess they slam the car, sit nice, but i mean since performance to me is so imp.. they are definately not my fav. body roll is big and at high speeds its jus not up to par with other performance suspensions like kw.. im jus sayin if ur going to drop a grand on suspension, why not spend a lil more and buy something that is and u know the best in the market cuz suspension is one of the most imp mods on a car IMO. the 32 way adjustable makes it jus harsher over bumps .. but that doesn't necessarily make it handle better jus cuz u make it harder
with that said and done .. if i do change my coilovers this summer, i will let them go for a cheap price of prolly 500 and u pay shipping
