02 civic sedan lifting

Hi there, im new to this site and i'm not sure if this topic has already been discused...

I have a 2002 civic 4 door and im planning on lifting it maybe 2-3 inches higher than stock height.

Somebody told me that if i go too high i might have to have some parts of the car extended (i.e. brakelines, steering box and the likes...)

Can anyone help me out, i need some opinions on this, and also if possible, what do i need to buy to get this project done.

Thanks in advance...

Re: 02 civic sedan lifting

Why are you lifting it? I really don't suggest it because then you increase the risk of roll over and I don't even know if there are shocks to raise the vehicle.

Now, I dont know if you can do that with coilovers or not, but I have seen a STi lifted with coilovers. But the question is why would you do it on a civic?

Re: 02 civic sedan lifting

reason for lifting is because of the body kit that i had installed was to low.. meaning even if the car isnt lowered it still looks lowered.

im planning on getting thicker tires on my 17's.. probably 55's...

any recommendations on the parts that i would be needing???

thanks..

Re: 02 civic sedan lifting

you wouldnt have to raise it. i think thats insane. a raised civic o_O lol. they are high enough stock as it is. i think there would be some major custom work involved in raising the car. not to mention not safe. i say dont do it. but if you want to it will cost you a pretty penny i think
