Need help.....

Ok...I need help in buying a new suspension for my 01 coupe. I have Tokico blues with Skunk2 coilovers and SPC camber kit at the moment. It's time for a new full coilover set-up. I know there's alot of threads about suspension. I've read them all, but I just wanted opinions of the best Full Coilovers. Your personal expirences would help. like sagging, etc. Pics would help as well. Thanks in advance

Re: Need help.....

I've always been a fan of coilovers since day one. I'll tell you my opinion about what's the best set of coils, although some people might disagree with me for any number of various reasons. It all really depends on what kind of budget you're working with. If money is of no object, I would get yourself a set of Tanabe Sustec Pro5's for the Acura RSX. The suspension fits right into the 7th gen civic with no fabrication. All you have to do is get RSX Tie rod ends for your civic. I think they are going to be the most readily accessible highest performance set you can get for our cars. Zeal also makes a coilover for the RSX that will work, called the Function X....which is supposed to be really good too. but I've never talked to anyone personally that has Zeal suspension. If you don't have a lot of money, you can get a good set of Tein basics, Super Streets or Flexes for relatively cheap. I have the Tein basics, and I think they kick major *** although no compression and rebound settings, just height. Oh and if you can find a good deal used or somewhere for HKS hipermax Rs's or Apexi' N1's (non-Exv type) for sure buy them. Those last two are only available for the RSX. Oh yeah you can also get a set of megan racing coilovers made for the 7th gen. Conclusion, in my opinion, if I had the money I would get the following:
First: Tanabe Sustec Pro 5
second: Apexi N1
Third: HKS hipermax RS
Fourth: Tein (I bought the fourth choice on my list here, because of price issue. I might get another set of suspension later.
