I put in some Eibach Sportlines about 10k ago. Still on stock struts. Bought the camber kit from either Jegs or Summit (can't remember) The gap is almost non existant with 215/45/17. I have my stock tires on now for the winter. Just waiting to see how she handles if it ever snows.

Hot damn that's a great deal! I thought though the 04-05 front struts were different than the 01-03 ones? The ad says 01-05

i think there is a difference between some of them, but not all. Something about one of the bolt sizes. Probably best thing to do is to contact them first.

Well, I bought S Techs yesterday. That's more the kind of drop I'm looking for. And if you read my original post, I'm looking for people with actual experience. I've done my research on spring types, I was looking for people who had dropped their car on stock shocks and how long they lasted.

Hey man, I've been dropped on Maxspeed lowering springs 1.3" drop all around for 2 years on stock shocks and my front driver side strut just started to leak. They are not blown yet but its time to purchase some performance shocks. The ride was very close to factory just a lil more stiff but bumpy roads weren't to pleasant. Anyways, the stock shocks should hold up if u dont' drive crazy. I drive pretty aggressive so I knew it was only a matter of time before they go. Deciding if I want tokico or koni right now. Also i never had a camber kit but only slight camber in the back. Just posting my experiences. I had 2 finger gap with my springs.

Thanks for the info. This is the type of stuff I'm looking for. I've decided I'm getting the camber kit, and I have Tein S-Tech springs on the way, which should give me about a 1.5" drop all the way around. I'm leaning toward getting Tokico shocks and doing everything at once, but it seems like a lot of you guys have had decent luck with stocks, so I guess I'll just see if I end up having the $$$ for shocks. If not, I may try my luck on the stock ones for a while.

I was looking at his stuff earlier. I'm gonna add him as a favorite seller or something, for when I'm ready to buy shocks in a few months. Unless I find some decent used ones between now and then.

What year is your car? From what i have read hear the 01 and 02 civics had different shocks than the 04-05 (50mm or 55mm). Also if your looking for a place to get the alignment done i took mine to the Elmgrove Auto mall. Just off 531 on Elmgrove (they did a great job)

^I'll keep that in mind. Now that my Honda warranty is up, I'll probably stay away from the stealership unless I need something major. The car is an 04, and I understand they have different struts in the front. I'll be confirming with whoever I buy from that they will fit. Thanks for the info.

Thanks for the bump. I've pretty much made up my mind tho. The majority of responses lead me to believe that i'll get a year or two out of the stock shocks before they leak/blow from the springs. I'm probably just going to do everything all at once, meaning getting shocks when I install the springs. I've bought the springs, but I'm looking for the camber kit, and some tokico shocks for an 04 coupe. Anyone have a camber kit they wanna part with?? I also have a WTB thread going. I'm going to need to have my shocks and camber kit sometime in the next 4 months.

^I was in your shoes last year when I was getting springs, my springs are still good after say 20k miles, but I know they will go at some point, so while a good opp. is here for a gb, I would buy now

I've seen a few camber kits in the for sale section. A couple spc kits and couple ingalls. I also heard the rear is more necessary than the fronts so keep that in mind.

will do, thanks. I'm looking to find a good deal on the front and rear, cause once i get done putting all this **** together, I don't want to have to take it apart and do it again. If you happen to find shocks or a camber kit you think I may be interested in, let me know. Thanks, guys.

i was dropped on tein s-techs with tokico blues when i lived up in saratoga springs, NY (dec 04 to may 05) . i also had 17" bluddy club rims wrapped in nitto neogen tires. it was a comfy ride. not too low, but since i have a neuspeed lower x-brace, it gave me about a ½" less clearance, but i was still able to drive on to drive on the snowy roads with little to no problems

Nice choice. Same setup here and like you've read its not that low but its a pretty nice drop. Me n my pops installed both front struts ourselves with the DIY here it was pretty easy we just never got time to install the rears and it still handles great.

There is no way to tell if it's going to fit unless you give us a tire size.

18s have fit on these cars in the past. Use a very low profile tire, but it's possible.

Yeah I thought about going w/ a set of Tein S Tech's or Neuspeed Sport both about the same drop. But I didn't want to buy springs yet because I plan on getting an 18'' wheel wrapped in a 40 series tire. I can't go w/ a 35 series tire because I live in WV and the roads aren't bad but do have their spots especially the back roads and some city roads. My biggest fear is it rubbing. Anyone w/ springs, 18'' inch wheels and 40 series tires please post and let me know the overall ride, what you recommend I should go with. By the way I'm riding completely stock suspension right now. I don't wanna get a camber kit or new struts right away but I will later. Like ambulanceMonkee said before I'm not looking to hear about what you have read but looking for someone who has a similar setup now and what they think about it.
