Unhappy Smart move?

I have an '02 Civic coupe and I'm bout to drop it with tein s tech springs. The car is a daily driver so would it be smart to drop it or leave it stock? Also knowing it is a daily driver I have 17'' wheels now but I thinking about upgrading to an 18'' wheel. Is that a smart move or am I just wasting money?

IMSMFHO I think it's somewhat pointless, but that's me. I tend to be part of the party that thinks that no matter what you do to a civic, it's still a frontwheel drive 4cyl car with a 60/40 weight split. I save most of my money towards something else (coughcough REX).

So in conclusion, yes, I think it's a waste.

lowering it with stechs wont really do anything on a daily, i got goldlines on my daily and it dropped me about 2.5" its not that bad, but i scrape alot. so you should be fine with the 1.5" drop. but 18s all depends on your road? you got nice smooth roads? if so then it wont matter but since your dropping it you got to keep the rubber around 35, 40s might rub with the drop. i would stay with the 17s my 17s were good up until i hit a open manhole cover

Rite now pics wouldn't help because I have my winter wheels on. I was afraid of them rubbing and round here is potholes galore. So I'll prolly just get a new set of 17'' wheels and go ahead w/ the s techs. As soon as the drop happens i'll post the pictures. By the way cenz if that pic is yo whip I hear ya on keepin' it clean....

i was worried about rubbing/scraping after dropping cuz I used to live in rural IA with lots of potholes/rough roads but it really isn't a problem, so I think you'll be fine...

^ lol learn how to spell
anyways, and since you have rims you should lower it cuz our cars look bad if it has rims and that its not lowered. But how you lower it, depends on how much your willing to spend. Basicly you get what you pay for. since your car is a daily driver i'd go with 1.5" but its all on preference.

Couldn't disagree more... You're better off with the drop and smaller wheels than bigger wheels and less/no drop. Meaning that the ride will be better say w/ 16's/17's w/ a smaller drop than say 18's w/ no drop. upgraded springs make the ride way more fun too, and a better acceleration from stop (less squat)
