Help With Poly Front Control Arm Bushings

I searched around and everyone said that they needed to have their front control arm bushings PRESSED IN. OKAY, I'm cool with that.

BUT, my bushings look like their is a lip on both the top and bottom that I would have to assume helps to hold the bushing in place. What I'm worried about is basically tearing/slicing one of those lips off when it is pressed through the hole.

Has anyone had this problem?

Has anyone actually seen it done so you can say the lip is okay??

Any insight?

Its not a hard insalation... Just kinda time consuming. so either should be fine, but I'd suggest getting a quote from both.

I wanted to ask about the ball joint? Do you just pop the arm out and then back in? Sorry to jack the thread.

Me and a 3lb "mini" sledg hammer poped that thing out easy... hit the LCA downward near the knuckle. for installing it once the LCA was in place and a few threads were showing through the hole, I threaded on the bolt and cranked it down.

The fronts NEED to be pressed in.

Spencer, so I can just drop the arm, take it someplace to get the new ones installed and just reinstall the arm with no problems with the ball joint?
