Suggestion on coilovers needed!
So here is the deal, i know a decent amount when it comes to suspension and i know what are good/bad quality brands, but really my question is what is the best bang for my buck. From what i've searched, IMO Hayame Coilovers are probably the best performing and lasting but are supposedly discontinued, which sucks because i was really looking to getting myself a set.
D2 on the other hand seems like it offers a great deal for what they provide in a kit, but what ive searched is that they dont go as low as the advertise.
Tien i feel is just over rated.
my goal for suspesion is a COMFORTABLE daily driver @ 2.7- 3inches here in SanFrancisco, CA with good track possiblities and longevity.
any suggestions appreciated.

3 inch drop is impractical and will be uncomfortable, especially on SF roads. That is too low for the car and can damage parts. Hayame's are best bang for buck in terms of features, but SS would be your best bet.
Screw Hayames, I had the Hayames before my D2 suspension. They were the worst possible coilover system you could buy. I guess $600 shipped for a brand new set of coilovers was too good to be true. My recomendation is not to go with Hayames and consider D2 or Tein, depending on how much you want to spend. And yes, 3" is way to low, good luck getting in and out of parking lots and might as well forget speedbumps.

everyone says 3" is too low but my buddie's Spyder GST on 205/50/15 is 3.5" all around and he hardly scrapes. its rare even when im riding in his car and im a beefy guy too. ill be on 45/17 and i dont drive too hard, i love my car too much. so the way i see it if i ever decide to go as low as 3" im less likey to scrape than my homie and with bigger wheels that changes possibilities more. imo from wat ive experienced you can drop to about 3.5" and still maintain minimal scraping. some of you may dissagree with me, but the i feel like people who scrape alot on a 2" drop just like me right now are plain and simply careless when considering driving habits.
but none the less thanks for the opinions.

Hayame's were discontinued due to too many complaints.
I'm riding on Hayames...look at my sig.
Comfort can't be had with lowering...that's just not the purpose of lowering a car. Track capable and comfortable? Ha!
Assuming that you meant 215/45/17, you can't lower it that much because you will run into rubbing issues.
Decrease your wheel gap + get a body kit and you will look slammed.

stay away from the Hayame coilovers. i had the V2s (version 2) of the coilovers where they "fixed" more of the problems. then shortly after they came out with a V3...
even if you find a cheap used set, spend a little more for some quality parts. the ride on them is very bumpy making them uncomfortable. but than again, dropping to 3'' is going to be uncomfortable no matter what. i ended up spending more money at the end (after wasting a nice chunk on the Hayames) and brought some B&G S3 coilovers. these go pretty low compared to the other top name brands out there and are rather comfortable. i'm dropped the full 3'' in the front and about 2.5'' in the rear. the ride is bearable but it is a little choppy.
i would highly suggest the Tein SS tho, they ride extremely comfortable, well worth the price IMO.

Not to mention that being that low puts more stress on the chassis.....
dont take me the wrong way if it may seem like im trying to be a hard headed little kid about this. its just im not completely familiar with the suspension on our 7thgens atleast when it comes to coilovers. in all honesty im thinking to go maybe 2.5-2.7 in the front and and 2.3-2.5 in the back on d2's or Tien. im curently on progress springs and oem struts/shocks and they've settle alot. but i want to be a little lower in the front would give me the look id like. im not sure if im gonna be rubbing on my 215/45/17 being that low in the front/rear because i havent put them on yet for the obvious matter that im deciding on coils.good looking out though.
