shock/spring setup question
shock/spring setup question
I saw this girl at the shop where my friend works and her bf was having the mechanic put in Tein S.Tech lowering springs with new mounts and the stock civic ex shocks.struts. I was wondering if anyone has done this and will the ride be bouncier? I had Shocks/Struts but sold them because i didnt think i was going to lower my car until I saw how hers looked and damn lol. I have Progress Lowering Springs and am looking into the tokico blues. should i just wait to get the tokicos then lower it or do it now on the stock konis?

Yes the ride will get bouncy. Do it right the first time and save yourself time, money and headache, get shocks.

yes get shocks, your ride will be a lot better and the stock ones will eventually blow because they arent made for being that low. I have the tokico's and i think they are a great set of shocks for under a 2" drop, rides good.
so what do you think the best shocks i get? i have been looking at Tokico HPs and i found them at Robearracing (tornactive) for 329 (fronts and rears) anyone know of a place cheaper?

tokico HPs "blues" will be good for that drop, i am dropped around the same height and they ride good. If you want to go around 2" or lower you would have to get tokico d specs or koni yellows...unless you want to change out your blues every 6 or so months because they would blow
