Something doesn't sound quite right...

I just installed some new struts and springs with the help of a friend. I went with Eibach Sportlines and Tokico Blues. Looks great, but now the rear end sounds aweful. Kinda sounds like the trunk lid is not closed, or as if something is very loose, with every dip and bump in the road. It's possible the rear struts are in wrong. We weren't careful enough, and couldn't agree whether the yellow marks on top of the struts were facing outward or inward, when we took them off the car. I could have sworn they were facing inward, and I won the argument, since it's my car... IF they ARE supposed to be facing outward, would they be making so much noise by facing the wrong way? And IF they ARE in the right way, anyone have any ideas why there is so much noise back there? By the way, the car is an 01 EX Coupe...

just did mine last weekend, and the marks shoudl be pointing inward. if you lined it all up right, they wouldnt fit pointing outward. It sounds like the springs may not be seated right in the strut. did you make sure you placed them in the boots right where the old ones were?
