So ive had my civic about a yr ago. I didint know anything about cars heck i thought altezzas were awsome and i thought the Fast and the Furious was da ****. When i bought the car it was already dropped i would say about 2.5" i thought it looked awsome. Later i start to hear noices and constant bouncing i let it slide. Later it just gets worser so I get the car checked out it seems the factory springs were cut on stock shocks. Again i dont kno heck about this. So i go out and look for some springs and shocks. Well my dad buys me these Kyb Gr-2 which i thought were pretty nice. Seeing as i saw the Kyb badging and believed they were good. Next i look for springs and get fooled into buying these Tenzo-R springs(2.25-2.5 drop). They guy makes a total fool of me telling me they would ride perfect. I install both of my car felt pretty nice for a while. Then it started to bounce alot so i learned my lesson and bought some Tein S Tech springs which are pretty nice. But now both my front shocks are blown and im looking for sum Tokico Blue's. My dad wants me to get just the front ones but ive told him i want all for. The cheapest i found were $323 shipped on Ebay. I kno what some of you guys think im a idiot and all but im just another person wanting to learn more about there car.
I plan on installing them myself with help from the DIY section. I just need some help on were i should get em. My luck sucks...Comments and Hints would help a bunch THNX...
sorry for the long story haha its just ive spent ALOT of money on the whole cars suspension. Money i regret buying dumb parts with

how low are the s-techs.... tokicos are made for only 1-1.5 inch drop... thats probably why your KYB shocks blew. if you want 2.5 inch drop youll have to go with koni's or something higher end like the konis to handle that.
and $323 is cheap for blues....probably the cheapest youll find

well...if you decided to go with the spring and shock combination, you should get some koni's lik 01 vic said to match wit the tein s tech. the tein spring are good so you dont have to worry about them. only if you have said something earlier, you should have gone wit a coilover kit instead.

I think its a 1.2-1.5 drop. I woulda loved a 1.75 drop but i settled for a 1.5 drop. Ive been reading up and seeing as how i dont have 400+ for Agx which were my 2nd choice i decided to go with Tokico Blue's.

s-techs drop 1.2 up front and 1.3 in the back.. or something along the lines of that.. i think it ends up with about a 1-2 finger gap all around.. i ran the s-tech/tokico blue combo for a while before i switched over to full coilovers (tein ss-p's.. ran me $1250 shipped).. i thought it was a very nice ride. 323 shipped is a pretty good price for those.. i think i paid along the lines of 350 shipped on ebay for those..
alls i can say is be picky about what you buy off ebay.. make sure its the real deal.

Im pretty sure the Tokico's can handle the 1.5 drop frum the S Tech's. I might as well ask around for a cheap price since im broke right now but my ride is just becoming more and more bouncy by the week. Now the bumper actually hits the ground on a small pothole.

dont feel too bad, i was in the same boat as you. bought crap coilovers, blew my struts, bought new struts, those blew due to coilovers, then went ahead and bought new springs and struts again.

I have the Tein-S-Techs and the Tokico Blue's on my front supension. I have had no problems at all. $323.00 is a good price for the shocks because I bought mine off of e-bay for $325.00 (jdmwerks13 - 99.4%).
